Responsibilities in Accounting Leadership, Financial Management and Reporting

• Oversee tax compliance, VAT returns, and other regulatory submissions, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation.

Essential Skills and Experience for Head of Accounting Roles

• Extensive experience in financial and management accounting, preferably within a complex, multi-entity organisation.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting standards and relevant legislation in the UK (e.g., UK GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations).
• Demonstrable skill in leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing financial teams.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software (such as Sage, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organisational capability, and ability to deliver within tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to support strategic business objectives.
