As a valued member of our team, you will play an important role in ensuring smooth HR processes, supporting employee engagement, and providing efficient administrative support across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities for the HR Administrator Role
- Support HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding of employees.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR files and databases are updated in line with data protection regulations.
- Assist in organising training sessions, staff events, and wellbeing initiatives.
- Be a first point of contact for employee HR queries, providing support and guidance or escalating as necessary.
- Prepare HR documentation including contracts, letters, and reports as required.
- Work closely with payroll to ensure accurate processing of employee data and absence records.
- Manage office administration tasks such as ordering supplies, maintaining records, and supporting the wider team.
- Help promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture through effective HR support.
Essential Skills and Experience in HR Administration
- Previous experience in an administrative, office, or HR support role is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent organisation skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Discreet and professional approach when handling confidential information.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and HR information systems (or a willingness to learn).
- Ability to multitask, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Collaborative attitude with a focus on providing excellent internal service.
Qualifications for the HR Administrative Assistant Position
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths. Further education or HR-related qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
- A strong interest in human resources, people management, or office administration.
